ABOUT CERT...
leftmiddleimage
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
ABOUT EASTLAKE CERT...
middlemiddleimage
East Lake CERT enjoys the support of East Lake Fire District and works to support the continuing effort to keep the residence of East Lake safe. This is done by providing education and awareness about how the members of the communities should support themselves in the event of a disaster by filling the gap before professional responders arrive which could be longer than 72 hours. This is accomplished by the volunteer members of this team who feel that giving back is the first step to saving lives.
